Privacy Policy

BakiNote is an offline-first Android application for managing personal debts and IOUs. We designed the app to keep your financial records under your control.

1. Information you enter

You may enter names, optional phone numbers, debt amounts, categories, due dates, notes and payment details. These are manually entered by you. BakiNote does not request access to your device's contact list.

2. Where your data is stored

Debt and payment records are stored locally in an app-private SQLite database on your Android device. BakiNote does not operate a cloud database or server that automatically receives these records. App preferences are stored locally using Android DataStore.

3. Sharing and exports

If you choose to share a reminder, Android's sharing interface lets you select the destination. If you export JSON or CSV files, you choose where to save or share them. Information you intentionally send to another app or service is then subject to that service's privacy practices.

4. Purchases

Optional Premium access is handled through Google Play Billing. Google processes purchase and payment information under its own policies. BakiNote does not receive or store your payment card or bank details. The app may process purchase status to enable Premium features.

5. Security

Where supported and enabled, biometric authentication is handled through Android's system authentication features. BakiNote does not receive or store biometric templates. The debt database is excluded from Android Auto Backup; non-sensitive settings may be eligible for system backup.

6. Advertising and analytics

BakiNote does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs or telemetry features.

7. Deleting your data

You can delete records within the app. You can also remove locally stored app data using Android's app settings. Exported copies and files you have shared must be managed separately wherever you saved or sent them.

8. Children

BakiNote is a general personal record-keeping utility and is not specifically designed for children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy if the app or its practices change. The current version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
